Hi all I am looking for someone who can help me out. I have a gateway laptop computer and my PERIOD key popped off and I am needing to get it to get it popped back on the back is not broke nothing is broken but gateway wants to charge me 300 bucks to replace one key or to replace the whole keyboard and motherboard with it. just for one key. can someone please help me or IM me on yahoo messenger my name on there is angel_leea96. PLEASEEEEEEE IM BEGGING FOR HELP

Do you have all the pieces? In addition to the key,there is often a wire or plastic bail (hoop), and sometimes a tiny plunger. The assembly is very subtle and I don't think I can describe putting it back together without seeing it.

Some keyboards never go back together right, I'm afraid. That's why manufacturers just swap the keyboard, they don't want to fool with it either.

$300 no just buy a key keyboard and plug that in

i would suggest that u go to the nearest computer shop and see how much they would charge u...i do not see anyone charging u know where near 300.00 ...i live in the next state over..and i know i could take it to a local shop and probally be charged $20.00
