I have a Compaq Presario S5000NX with a 2.5 Ghz celeron, with 768 MB of RAM. I use my computer for graphic intensive games.

Should I upgrade my processor (I was thinking pentium 4), or do I have enough and therefore wait until the next big thing comes out?

Tell me everything:
About the quality of the video played on it and editing.
Is the onboard high-definition audio truly amazing.
Its speed against any AMD machine.
Also how much RAM do I need if I buy one and which one to buy - DDR2 or DDR?
Will it support Vista at a pace?

I'm wanting to build a "Super Computer," or in other words a top-of-the-line commercial machine. I have general knowledge on how to assemble them once I've purchased the necessary components, but I'm still unsure as to what are the best products to get. If it helps, here is the purpose of the machine;

The computer is supposed to be capable of peforming on multiple LCD screens (I'm purchashing a MOView Quad Monitor Stand.) It should be furnished with the best motherboard and processor, preferably a dual-processor. It should have the greatest amount of RAM that is available and all this within a full-sized tower.

Multiple 3D Engine applications will be ran on this machine with Microsoft XP Pro. While not specifically a gaming machine, it will be required to run highly detailed graphics. I also desire in having multiple HDs, 750GB a piece. If any more information is needed, feel free to e-mail me noah_none@yahoo.com

Thanks for any and all input.

I have the hard drive installed as the secondary slave. I also have a Quantium Fireball 20GB hard drive on the primary master. The bios detects the 20GB but not the 82GB.

I heard that people can't change or add components to Dell computers without sending it to Dell or something. Is this true? Or can I do things like that myself? If so, would I need components made by Dell? I have a Dell 8300 if that matters.

I'd like to know how do I safely back up my computer files before I do a factory reset? I have very important files on my computer that I need to save and factory resets involve erasing most or all of the data on your computer. Can anybody tell me how to do this? Thanks for your help.

How do I deactivate safe mode on my computer? All I tried to do yesterday was download some AOL protection for my computer, and it froze, forcing me to perform an improper shut down. When I cut it back on, the computer didn't give me any other options except to cut it on safe mode, which is blocking my programs and everything is twice the size of what it should be. Whenever I do a proper shut down, and I cut my computer back on, it gets frozen on the Windows XP screen, and I have had to do many improper shut downs because of this. My computer has no viruses, I scan for threats everyday, and I have Yahoo! Anti Spy E-Mail protection whic is up to date. Please help me, and don't tell me to get it checked out by a proffesional, because I called the Dell company, and they told me to do a factory reset, which could cause me to lose all of my data. Thank you for all of your help!
