Several reasons why your RAM isn't working. RAM modules come in single-sided or double-sided. Depends on your motherboard, some don't take single-sided memory module well. That is because on single-sided module each chip on the module is very high density/capacity and some motherboard memory controllers can't handle high capacity chips. You didn't say whether your RAM is a DDR or SDRAM type. The memory modules all have speed rating on them such as PC2600, PC3200, and etc. Some motherboard (particularly the older kind) couldn't work with faster memory modules. Last but not least, that particular RAM module you have was simply DOA (dead on arrival).

Make sure your Bios setting(CMOS) ARE SET TO ENABLE MORE RAM meaning depending on your system you may have to change some settings for the RAM to auto settings sometimes you have to Enable the whole system to do this.Make sure the Ram is compatible with your system eg.the fast speed Ram can read slow Ram so find out your system speed eg.66Mhz or 100 or 133Mhz rambus speed. if you have a manual for your computer read up for setting's.Change the Ram in a different order do it one by one and see who when and which Ram is the problem.I hope that helped you take care

Per motherboard specs, the memory is dual channel, meaning the memory must be installed in pairs. If you have 1 memory stick or 3 memory sticks, the odd stick will not recognize. If they are not installed on dimm1 and dimm2 as one channel or dimm3 and dimm4 as another channel, then it will also not work.

it's not always the best idea to buy ram from ebay, as it's not made by top brands

but make sure the RAM is securely in, the clips are locked down.

The first url does not show memory.. so, no telling why not, unless, of course, this is an advertisement for these items.

either it is an compatibility issue or the ram has gone bad. please try swapping good known other working ram. clean the slots of the ram in the motherboard.
