I have the hard drive installed as the secondary slave. I also have a Quantium Fireball 20GB hard drive on the primary master. The bios detects the 20GB but not the 82GB.

in windows, do you have the UPNP disabled?
do you have power to the drive (not the IDE/ribbon) cable?
also, so you have the little jumper covering the correct pins (on the drive) that tell it to be the subordinate?

Did you set the jumper properly? Are all the plugs to the drive full seated? If the power plug to the drive is not seated, the drive will not come up as "Found new Hardware" in windows. After the HDD is "Found" you'll have to format it. Right tic on "My Computer" select "Manage". In the left pane tic "Disk Management", in the right pane you should now see the new HDD letter. Right tic on the new drive and select "Format" and your ready to go.
