Every time I try to open a CD in my CD drive, it says incorrect function. What should I do?

It also says not accessible.

i would have to be there and have a look to know what it is sorry but i say get some one to put another cd drive in and see what happens

Make sure the IDE cable is inserted correctly and the master/slave Jumper is putted on the correct PIN. And see if the Lense is clean of your CD rom.
