I have an HDCP complaint LCD with two HDMI inputs. I have a PC with a non-HDCP video card. I was under the impression that as long as the SOURCE didn't require HDCP the picture should display. Shouldn't my non-HDCP signal still show up on my HDCP monitor? If not, are there any effective ways to bypass this other than purchasing a HDCP card? If so, why else would my picture be blank?

Q. 1. Okay first off will you guys tell my parents how badly we need a new computer? We have a virus scanner that says we have 14,000 viruses, our computer has a 20gb hard drive, and it only has 126mb of RAM, and We got in the middle of the year 2000. (PLEASE do not say that we don't need a new computer because WE DO!)

The following applies to the questions below:
I want 2GB of RAM, probably want Windows XP unless someone convinces me out of it, do NOT want an apple (I would want one but my parents would always be confused), and I want to be able to play games like halo, call of duty, and battlefield 2 on it.

Q. 2. What kind of processor and graphics card would I need to be able to play games like the ones listed?

Q. 3. What company will give me the most bang for my buck? I've been looking at a Dell XPS but am flexible.

Q. 4. Do you think I should get a Logitech Revolution mouse, or is it not worth the $99.99? If i were to get a good one that would be it.

Q. 5. Other suggestions?

Where can I find directions on how to build my own touchscreen? I would prefere If it could have some sort of processing power and/or a cpu unit built in for small applications.

All and any advice is welcome.

It would work great all the time, one day it turned off suddenly, and now it just shows blinking pumkin light which looks like in the sequence of 1011 0101 0101 0110 1100 ( when '1=on' '0=off' ). When the laptop is plugged up with AC adaptor, the light is green. But if I push the power button, it changes to blinking orange. It still charges up the battery. I tried to do something like push the power button, hold it for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but didn't work well. I know many other toshiba owners should have the same problem as I got. If there's someone who resolved this problem, please help me out not to throw away hundreds of $$ on this.

Im having Problems with my Monitor I have 2 hooked up, Only one Is working Unfortunatly for me its monitor number 2 thats working So I cant pull up my Properties to change it because When I click it it pops up on monitor 1, Is there a way to at least get my prperties settings to pop up on Monitor 2? I would just drag it if i could see something on monitor 1 but i can't I want monitor 2 to be my main monitor, but its not working.. SOmeone help me please

I also can on about every 10th try get my windows to load, but then all of a sudden EVERYTHING will freeze, no keyboard, mouse, Ctrl-Alt-Delete, will work. I can't seem to keep anything on for more than a few minutes, and then either it will freeze or shut down. I would love to try and fix this without reformatting, and would really appreciate some help.

im trying to connect wirelessly from my laptop to my printer tha is connected to another computer and i find it and i pushed connect and it says that my printer does not have the correct printer driver installed.

what the heck does that mean?
do i have to get MORE software?
can i fix it on my other computer connected to my printer?
ahh this is frustrating
also its says the file
'*.INF'
is needed, and it wants me to find it.

I have a 512mb Kingston stick in my computer. I recently just got a 512mb Nanya stick. When I put it into my computer, it made a funny noise and the screen stayed black. I turned off my computer and took out the Nanya stick. After a few minutes, I popped back in the Nanya stick with the Kingston still in. My computer started up just fine. But when everything loaded, some programs had errors and my computer notified me that I had a hardware failure with one of my RAM sticks. Turned off my computer and took out the Nanya. Started my computer back up, and it worked just fine. Would like to know if there is something I have to do in order to have those 2 RAM sticks working together. Any help with letting me now how to use both RAM sticks. (Sorry for the long details)

Suddenly lost 40 gigs or so. Did a Spyware scan, slowed the loss of GB. Now at 15.9 ( On a 120GB laptop. ) I really just want to reclaim the lost GB, someone said to look in. C > Windows > system32. And to look for duplicate files. Is there an easier way then too do that? Anyways, doing another Defrag, and diskclean up. And a Virus scan. But is there MORE I could be doing here? Thanks.

Hey everyone,

While attempting to fragment my PC, the fragmentation program is telling me that some files will not fragment, mainly files in program files and documents and settings.

Seing as these as fairly large files *one of my documents is over 7 gigs, I was hoping someone would have the solution.

I am using Windows XP.

Hello,
I am looking to upgrade my Current PC.
But not looking to purchase a new one, instead just upgrade the components in my pc!

My Current Specs are
E-Machines E3028
Intel Celeron D @ 3.20 Ghz
768MB RAM
DVD +/- RW Drive
6 USB
Memory Card Reader
Windows XP
ATI Graphics Card
Basically it seems my PC Can't run many demanding programs at once.
It wont RUN Ulead Video Studio 11 because whenever i seem to do edit a video on it it always runs out of memory.
Do you think i need a PC Upgrade or maybe do i just need to add more memory??

If i do upgrade. will i still have all my files and settings in place?
