I have an HP laptop with Windows Vista with an integrated video card (Intel 945GM). I've been trying to play the game but after I launch, let's say Team Fortress 2, and try to join a server, I get the Windows box informing me that hl2.exe has stopped working. I've downloaded the latest drivers and updates and what not. It still isn't working. It's probably my graphics card. But, I want to play! Is there any way around this problem???

i had just put my 224 mb ram, and after doing so, my computer run slow and the computer says that my ram is only 96 mb.. how this thing happened?.. some friends told me to reboot it but i dont know to reboot.. could you guy help me with this?

My CPU keeps saying the System is too low on virtual memory. We have tried deleting unneeded files and uninstalling unneeded programs that took up too much memory..... Yet, it still happens. How can I fix this?

I don't know exactly how laptop screens work, but if a screen has to be backlit anyway, wouldn't any additional color need extra energy?

I'm thinking about getting 64-bit Windows Vista on my new PC. Reading a few forums, wondering about the performance and compatibility issues.

1. Will normal 32-bit programs run. With better or worse performance?
2. If I install 32-bit Vista on a 64-bit processor, would there be better or worse performance? Or, would it simply not take advantage of multi-core processing?
3. Would games, such as World of Warcraft or Battlefield 2, play on 64-bit. Better or worse?
4. Any overall tips.

I'll add details immediately if an answer brings up another question for me. Thanks for the info and your opinions. :)

I need to know what to do. I have windows XP professional installed and my pc hasn't been hooked up for almost a year. Anyways I had a Admin password set up to use my pc and i forgot it. Now all my pc does is go thru boot sequence, begin to load windows and give me a message about resetting the password (can't read it all) before the pc reboots itself. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Acer AS59206470 Worth my money? or not? Buy now? Buy later?

Hi, I am looking to buy a new laptop,
I been using Toshiba's Satellite for about two years but the problem with Toshiba was the recovery disc never works for me.

I'm looking at this Acer AS59206470 model, it seems like a pretty good price for me with the features.
• Intel Core 2 Duo T5250
• 200GB hard drive
• Built-in 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN• 2GB of DDR2 memory
• Burns DVDs and CDs
• Built-in webcam

Can someone please give me advice about this laptop, and let me know what's the pro/con about Acer? Does Acer have a nice recovery system?

& If I really plan on buying this laptop, should I go buy it now at CC or wait until Thanksgiving week or during Christmas? When would be the best time to buy?

I have a 500gb external hard drive i want to leave it plugged into my computer at all times. Someone said that if i leave it plugged in at all times something bad is going to happen. So i want to know if this is true. The computer stays one 24/7 so the external hard drive stays plugged in 24/7.

ok heres what is happening. i need a god to help with this. im trying to install tiger on my 10.3.9 mac. i have the offical install disc. my mac tech spec is

Dual 1.42 GHz, PowerPc G4 , 120GB HD (23GB LEFT) 1GB DDR SDRAM.

i have used loads of programs to try and repair the hd so tiger can install

Hi,

I am looking at running dual display on my computer, yet am wondering if I am going to need another video card in order to do this. I spent quite a bit on my one video card the ATI Radeon 8800, and therefore would not want to have to spend alot in order to get the same performance with the other monitor.

I want to utilize my PC(Desktop) from different rooms of my house. So instead of buying a new laptop , I felt it would be better if I can connect my Desktop through multiple keyboard mouse monitor shared on single CPU ; with a switch that can make a particular set of monitor keyboard mouse working .
