I need to know what to do. I have windows XP professional installed and my pc hasn't been hooked up for almost a year. Anyways I had a Admin password set up to use my pc and i forgot it. Now all my pc does is go thru boot sequence, begin to load windows and give me a message about resetting the password (can't read it all) before the pc reboots itself. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Some motherboards have a "safety net" built onto them. It's a password "jumper" and if you remove it you will be able to access your pc just fine.

Look at the manual that came with your pc and see if it has the "password jumper" on it. Then read the manual regarding it and see if there are any "special instructions" that the Motherboard manufacturer has defined.

Hope this helps.

What you're able to do is boot into secure mode. to try this once you press the skill button on your workstation. Press the f8 button. faucet the f8 button until you get the choice to circulate into secure mode. Now decide on secure mode. Now you will see debts which you would be able to log into. decide on the hidden administrator account. circulate into administration panel. And right here you may do away with the passwords. Then restart workstation and log into your debts.
