This morning, when I flip open my laptop, I saw ants on the keyboard and they keep crawling out. I am hoping that the heat will chase them out.

Get a box. Spray insect killer into the box, wait three minutes for the mist to settle to the bottom, then put your laptop in it overnight. (The box has to be closed).

Depending on where you live (geographically), there are various species of ants that flourish & feed on residue from modern electronic components.
Another factor is their natural attraction to heat generated by the PC.

If I were you I would purchase a product like this one :

It is a fumigator.

I would put the PC in a box along with the activated fumigator .... as well the box should be sealed in an airtight garbage bag, & left outdoors or in a well ventilated area for as long as the pesticide instructions specify.

This will safely do the job.

Did the ants come out of it when you were typing? That would be really wierd. Yeah, i wouldnt try spraying it because that would most likely ruin your laptop. Did you ever spill something sugary or sticky on your laptop because that could be the problem to the ants. So try putting a puddle of mountain dew mixed with soap on a paper plate and see if they come out.

wow....let me say this is a first for me to hear about. lol...anyway man its obvious that you shouldn't spray liquid in the laptop....so....try placing some poison near it for a little....if all goes well it'll be taken back into the colony and then it shall kill the ants. Best of wishes!
