I'm going to build a pc and i was going to get intel core 2 duo E6750 2.66 ghz processor. Then I looked at AMD out of curiousity and saw the dual core amd 64 x2 6000+ 3.0 ghz for $30 cheaper!!! The mobos for amd processor look like they are cheaper as well. Will Amd give me more bang for my buck? I'm looking to build a gaming pc in the $500 range. How much fast are the intels?

Hello,

I am trying to use my Western Digital My Book Premium External hardrive with my Mac. I have installed Windows with Boot camp and want to use the fire wire instead of USB. I downloaded all the drivers for the HD and hooked it up to the mac. It works; I can access the hard drive and everything.

The problem is that the drive won't shut off when I turn off the computer. It doesn't turn off whether I am in Windows or OS X.

Can anyone tell me how to get the external hard drive to shut down properly when the computer is turned off? I am new to Macs and may be overlooking a simple detail. Thanks!

i have a sony vaio that has a geforce 5200 video card and i want a new one to play new games with good graphics is this card good enough or do the new games need a better one? but i dont want ne of ur answer to tell me about a ****** $1000 graphic card thats better i want something thats about $200 the geforce 8600 is bout $160 so just lemme no if its good enuff for a game like war in conflict to play with really good graphics (i dont want it to work at minimum graphics)

I usually need 12 to 13 hours to leave the computer to download a file for instance.. i do not work on it but i just leave it open... .... ... i just want to know if this affects the fan and maybe the motherboard?? i have tried looking for a right answer... but i just cant seem to find one! mmmmkk i just bought windows vista recently and downloaded it right......it was a 32 bit disk and once i downloaded it it went to 16 bit and everythin is fricken huge !!!!!!!! i hate it it looks terible and its at 16 bit and when i went to personalize and tryed to make 16 bit go up to 32 bit it woudlent and when i tryed to make eveerything small by increaseing/decreadseing resolution it wouldent move becuase my bit rate is 16 bit wtf am i suposed to do and my graphics card is up to date im sooo pcced right now >.<

I have had my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop for a little under a year. recently every time I turn on the computer a message pops up saying that the wmi provider host has stopped working. does anyone know what that means and how to fix it? Secondly, the same laptop came with a battery charger, but lately when I plug it in a popup says The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and theh battery will not charge. Please connect a Dell 90W AC adapter or higher for best system operation. and then the battery icon in the start up menu says plugged in, not charging. I dont understand why its happening since it is the same charger i have always used. Is it possible that maybe my dog chewed it. Is it possible that could be the reason or is there something wrong with the computer rather than the charger?

so i connected my headphones to my laptop, and the end of the thing you put in the hole broke off and it's stuck inside :(
any suggestions on getting it out?

& my headphones still work in my iPod even though part of the end is broken off, but only the left ear piece works...it's weirddd

Intel pro/wireless a/g mini-card (+$29)
Dell wireless G wifi mini card (+$0)
Dell wireless A/G wifi mini card (+$10)
Intel pro/wireless n mini card (+$79)
Dell wireless n mini card (+49)

right now I have a wireless-G plus MIMO router, so would that be good enough for newer 3D games, or would I need to switch to wireless-N or a wired connection?

Also, would the Dell a/g get worse reception or better or the same as the intel pro/wireless a/g?

Would the Intel g/a get better than the dell G?

i just bought a compaq presario v3000 series notebook pc..(the model is V3614AU)..my question is..

1.) where i can find a driver for the device in this notebook (give me a link please...)..it's better if it's a set of driver in single file..

2. i've spend 5 hours looking for driver at the internet..now i only got few things to install..
coprocessor
ethernet controller
sm bus controller
video controller(vga compatible)

3) since i don't know these hardware manufacturer..it's hard for me to find the needed drivers

4) err..that's all..i think
