IMPORTANT : Does it Hurt your computer if you open it 13 hours a day?

I usually need 12 to 13 hours to leave the computer to download a file for instance.. i do not work on it but i just leave it open... .... ... i just want to know if this affects the fan and maybe the motherboard?? i have tried looking for a right answer... but i just cant seem to find one! Can Someone help me please???

it affected my fan.. i burned it out and had a bit of a repair bill to pay..Turn it off every now and again..They are a bit like us and need a little rest and sleep every now and then.
