A headset plug is divided into two parts. Notice the ring(s) near the end of it. One ring, it is a mono plug, two it is a stereo plug. The endmost part of a stereo plug is the right channel. The next is the left. With a "mono" headset, it actually plays the right channel on both ear pieces. If you broke off the very tip, you broke off the part that receives the right channel. So all you get is the left.

Without opening the laptop, I can not predict whether it is possible to push the tip out of not. But it is something you should have a pro look at. As the headset jack will be part of the system board, damaging it could damage the rest of the board and ruin the laptop.

You are going to need to completely open your laptop and push the broken jack out from the inside. Suggest you get a professional to do it for you.
