Hello, I'm about to send my Inspiron 2200 Dell laptop back to be repaired, and I would like to upgrade to a nice graphics card. I bought this computer new about 1 year ago. I'd like to play some games like everquest. What is the best graphics card for a lap top around $200? And I wonder if I get to choose the card, or do I have to go with what ever they have?

hi, i have an x-blade case, it has a side fan, a front fan and a rear fan. it is noisy as hell. i have disabled the side fan and just wondering if its ok to disable the front one? i think the rear is just blowing out of the power box, so do i really need to have the front intake running, or will i risk over heating?

I have an old laptop which didnt work anymore (it wouldnt turn on). I thought it died so I decided to take it apart. I unscrewed every single piece that can be taken apart (that is, including the CMOS battery). But then due to unforeseen circumstances I had to put it back together.

So today I thought it would be nice to try out if it is still alive. I plugged the AC in and miraculously it turned on (o_O)...

BUT the problem: it turned on, with the fan spinning, and nothing appeared on the screen. A few seconds later it switched itself off. I think it's the CMOS that was reset and so how am I suppose to get the BIOS back on?

I have 2 SATA hard drives both 400GB one 8mb one 16mb. The computer has never been perfect.
When I search for the drives in BIOS it only detects one of them. What does this mean? Is it related to the errors in event viewer?
I can use both hard drives fine because windows detects both but BIOS doesn't.
Lately the screen goes black for a second whenever I open internet explorer. I was told I didnt have to adjust jumper settings on SATA drives so why is the second drive not detected? Is it something to do with RAID?

I have an Intel 845 board with 2.4 Pentium processor with 384 ram and 120GB. Thing is lately it has been acting up. It boots normally up to some point then reboots again or when on it just goes off and restarts or i press the power button and i can hear the fan is moving but nothing on my screen. The later is more dominant in that now it wont even boot. When this is happening the light on the board is on and mouse too. I thought it was a virus but i reinstalled OS when it worked and changed my anti virus from Norton to mcfee but to Norton again. I thought it was my monitor but its perfectly ok. I tried my hard drives on other machines and they are all ok. I notice too that when this happens power doesn't reach my dvd rom. I also tried blowing my cpu but nothing i also thought it was a problem with cooling but i changed my fan and still it persists. The computer is about 2 yrs old. Maybe someone out there could help me with some suggestions. Please!

I recently replaced a CD Burner on my PC with a Pioneer 112D DVD/CD Burner. I appears on WinExp as the DVD burner till I load a blank DVD into the tray when it appears on WinExp as a CD drive and will not recognise the dvd disk. What is happening and how do I fix it?

I use a sandisk micro cruzer thumb drive and when i first use it on windows vista it woks but when i take it out and try to use it again the computer wont detect it, it shows that it is plugged in but when i click on my computer its not displaying like the rest of my drives.

I have a Pavillion 1616n. My second monitor is my tv, connected by s-video. When i check the box that reads "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" it unchecks itself after i press "apply changes" or "OK". I just want two monitors so that i can watch movies on one and type on the other. I am baffled. Somebody PLEASE HELP!

I was told my lexmarx x6150 would not work as a scanner until the company was done making the driver update for vista for now all the diver they have does is make my printer print text and copy no scanning so I can save a pic or text to my computer to use to send in email.
