If you put vista on your computer, and don't know what a driver is you are going to have to call someone that knows about computers.

I would highly suggest getting a book on how to use a computer, and what different things do. Man not knowing how to put drivers on, I think I would just sell computer and get an atari.

Answering only your last, because I don't do Vista
A driver is a piece of software that knows how a specific piece of hardware works and which can translate commands from Windows so they work there or tell Windows how to understand the hardware.
