I use a sandisk micro cruzer thumb drive and when i first use it on windows vista it woks but when i take it out and try to use it again the computer wont detect it, it shows that it is plugged in but when i click on my computer its not displaying like the rest of my drives.

The problem is definately because you are not doing the "remove hardware safely" step. Not doing so can not only cause this problem, but can even damage the thumb drive. Remove the thumb drive using this procedure and it should eliminate your problem.

First of all in d bios setup, chk 4 ATA and enable 8. If 8 don't work, then change d new hard drive that u put on d pc. 8 going 2 work 4 u. After doing same 8 will Recognized d DVD/CD Drive on yur HP Laptop DV6000 Windows Vista 32bit. However, let me ask u, were d pc made 4 Windows Vista 32bit or Windows Vista 64bit? If 8 was made 4 Windows Vista 64bit, then pls look around 4 a Windows Vista 64bit Operating system.

It not Vista.... it your computer, some times if you remove it with out turning it off you will need to reboot to get the 5 volts back at your USB port, just a safety feature

You may removed it in unsafe way. Try to restart your machine and next time take care to safely remove.
