I was told my lexmarx x6150 would not work as a scanner until the company was done making the driver update for vista for now all the diver they have does is make my printer print text and copy no scanning so I can save a pic or text to my computer to use to send in email. What all in one printer scanner copier will work with vista right out of a box from a store?

a canon mp500. canon ip3000 (and it was made long before vista, so that surprised me).
haven't really tried it with any others yet, but those two i didn't even need the install discs for, vista just knew what they were as soon as i plugged them in.

I've just bought an Epson DX5000 scanner printer in one, not only is it an excellent printer it also has a scanner which can scan item's that are wide by allowing the cover to be removed.

It will work. I have a new laptop with vista and I have a printer scanner I bought a year ago. It is a Lexmark but still worked with no problems.
Just give it a shot, it will probably work.

You are correct X6150 Doesnt work With Vista Especially..the scanner part...Any how u can print from the computer.
and it is quite impossible to scan thru the AIO center..as the AIO center Drivers are not updated yet.
so u can still Scan thru WIA.
Actually the AIO center is the Lexmark Scanning Interface.u U can still use windows interface.
WIA scanning.
Click on Start. and look for lexmark photo Editor. click on that
and when the lexmark photo Editor open..click on open...and click on export from scanners and cameras wizard...(u can scan in this method only if u have Lexmark photo Editor installed in ur computer.)

Any new printer that comes with "Vista Certified Drivers".
Then again ...

you will have to ask to see if it is vista compatable if it is not then they will not work
