Okay I have an Acer Aspire 5610, said to have a 120 g HD,
Now I am getting messages stating that my HD is full, when i check the free space in my computer, it shows two drives, (three actually but one is the dvd rw drive), it has a c: drive and a d: drive. each roughly 60 g's
now the c: drive is pretty full and the d: drive is just about empty, now why am i getting a message, when i show half my hd is empty? is there a way to switch between the two? i am confused, help me please?

This is a simple question and youll pry think im a moron for asking this but i want to know before i go spend the money on this powers supply. so, heres my question: on power supplies with a 20 + 4 pin main power connector does the extra 4 pins snap or come off so you can make it 20 pin to connect to a 20 pin atx motherboard. sorry for such a simple question and im pretty sure i already know the anser but figured i would ask anyway.

I wonder any1 out there who knows if my motherboard can support up to 512MB of graphic cards. If can, which graphic card is more recommended for it. Appreciate your soonest reply

I have a dell xps m1210 notebook and I was wondering what carrying case i shold get for it. The dimensions are as follows:

Width: 11.70"
Height: 1.20"
Depth: 8.70"
Weight (lbs): 4.4

I just can't decide what to get. I think I want a hard plastic case because its a really nice piece of machinery and I'm always hesitant to put it in my backpack or carry it around so I want a hard case for it. Any suggestions of what case to get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop computer. I damaged my cd drive because the drawer was open, I bumped into it and had to force it to close. Now my computer will not shut off. After I tell it to shut down, it just restarts all over again and I have to manually turn it off while it's shutting down. I tried to disable the drive and delete it, but when the computer restarts again, the drive reappears. Can I get someone to open up my computer and take out the cd drive all together?

I recently bought an Nvidia Geforce FX5500 PCI card with 256MB DDR memory from my friend. When i install it in my computers PCI slot the fans and hard drives and everything spin up but nothing comes on the screen and the power led does not come on. When i re-install my old AGP graphics card (a Geforce 2 lol) the computer boots up and runs perfectly. i have the driver for the card installed from the Nvidia website, so thats not the problem... I am thinking this is a problem with the card or the powersource but would like a second oppinion. my friend also said the card might of been static zapped, and i hope thats not the case, but i would get my money back if thats what happened.

My system:
1 Western Digital 40 GB hard drive
1 Maxtor 10 GB hard drive (slave)
1 CD-RW Drive
1 DVD Drive
Stock Motherboard (Emachines)
AMD XP 2200+ processor
Nvidia Geforce 2
Windows XP SP2 with all updates

I'm looking at a computer with this processor on it
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4300 (1.8GHz, 800 FSB).
I don't know much about the Intel Core 2Duo line, so i was wondering if this is fast or not. How does this compare with the fastest that is out right now?

I was wondering if this is good for the type of memory I have? I see some memory are like DDR2 and another number like 630 (example). What does it mean? Is the lower the number the better? or what? If I extend it to 4gig memory how fast would my computer be? and do any of you know where I can purchase the 1 gig for cheap? HELP thanks!

Here - for all the rude people out there, i'll rephrase what i was trying to ask in the first place:

Why is it not good to touch a CRT monitor?

1. i'm not trying to impress my bosses by sending the e-mail to them to inform them so that they could make a quick announcement in our morning meeting to remind people that it's possible the monitors could be damaged by touching them

2. i genuinely don't want the monitors ruined

3. at home i don't touch my monitor, neither does my fiance

4. static electricity from touching the screen could cause damage

5. this was NEVER about tattling

i just don't understand why people have to be so rude here. i ask questions that i genuinely want REAL-life answers to and some of the responses i receive are just mean. it's sad.

and to people that think that i should just not worry about it, it's not your monitor <------------that right there is what's ruining the world. to me that says, "i don't care, it doesn't affect me."
