HP Vectra VLi8, P3 500 mhz, cd, 128mb ram, 10 gig HD, mouse, multi-media keyboard, sound card, network card, and a 17 inch Phillips monitor. In it's day, it was a really great
computer.

$60 for everything? Expert opinoins? Thanks!

It's only for typing and basic internet use, for my elderly parents. I'm using it right now and I think it's very fast.
Remember that a brand-name 17 inch monitor, keyboard and scroll mouse were included.

you can upgrade thr ram, and it is a small hard drive if it has windows 98 I ususally sell them for like $30.00 with xp 60.00 but also 500 mhz is not much. A good example is I have a miniture gateway tower p3 900mhz, 384 ram, xp pro, nice crt monitor, keyboard and mouse, new install of xp, with xp office, nero. and all like new, when I sell it I will sell it the 1st day for 80.00-100.00. so if it has xp I would say 60.00 if its 98 $25 or30. good luck! oh it also has a 20 gig harddrive.

If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. With that processor, RAM, and hard drive you'd be hard pressed to find an operating system newer than windows 98, which is no longer supported, that would run. Other than the keyboard, mouse, and monitor, it is all useless. If the monitor is a VGA monitor, and it still works, its probably worth $20 or $30 bucks if its as old as the rest of it. The keyboard and mouse can be bought for under $20 new.

If you are not expecting to do much than it's an OK deal. In order to run Windows XP effectively a computer needs at least 512mb RAM.

The life expectancy of this computer is going to be very short. It seems like it might just be a headache. Also make sure it has a network card, or modem card if you plan on using the internet.

There are computer for under $300 on partstock.com that will last you a little longer, and are more upgradable.

Everyone telling you that processor is no good for gaming doesn't know what they are talking about. The problem is the video card, that is not a gaming card. It will play 3+ year old games at moderate settings, but this is not a gaming computer, but because of the video card, not the processor.

Dont, pay another $30-$40 more and get something a bit faster like P3/1GHz or P4/1.5GHz etc with at least 256MB of memory.

The one you listed is ok with 98, nothing else

i would not buy that kind of computer, it is really slow! (probably buy it if your planning to use it in typing purposes only!)

p3 500mhz if im not mistaken is released in year 1999... 8 years from now...
