Which would be better for my new laptop

1.AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-60(2.0GHz/1MB)

2.Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo T7200 (2.0GHz/4MB L2Cache)

If you have gaming in mind, even light gaming, do not just look at the processor. Consider the graphics as well. Intel integrated graphics are very good in 2D but sucks in 3D. Get one w/ ATI or Nvidia graphics.

If you are not a power user who runs multithreaded apps or symmetric multiprocessing, it would be more cost effective to get the fastest Core Solo (Yonah), at least 1Gb RAM and a good video card such as the Geforce Go series.

Go with AMD superior quality not as bitchy as Intel plus they really know how to make a true dual processor, you can also over clock better,boards for it are usually cheaper, only downside is that there is a limited amount of motherboards compatible with it.

I guess it all depends upon what you plan on using your laptop for. ^^

Generally, intel is my favourite. But a bit of research can tell you what will suit your needs best.

i really like intel rather than amd!
