i'm sick of vista now.
its taking ages to start,shutdown and most of time application get hang and not responding...i don't want to remove it because its registered version and might be get better in some time as it happend with every new windows OS...in start.
i have 120 GB hard drive and 1024 MB RAM.
Pentium dual core processor.
system HP Pavillion dv6000.
i tried to install xp professional but vista dont let it install.
and it hid the hard drive from xp when i install xp ,xp say there is no hard drive detected...does it mean i hav to uninstall vista first?(wich i dont want)

is there any solution?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

so i purchased a WIRED mighty mouse instead of the wireless b/c i thought it wasnt worth spending the extra dollars but when i opened the box the wire was like 2ft long! my macbook's usb thing is on the left side and i am a righty so the wire is too short for me. can i return my mouse and get my money back?! or can i return it pay 20 bucks and get the wireless mouse from the store ty!

i have dell dimension 2400 series desktop ..its having 760MB of RAM in total in 2 different slots but its still not as much effective as it shd be ..so anyways my problem with this one ...every start up it give me msg "press F1 to continue and press F2 to go to system utilites ....it works okay when i press F1 but its so annoying to press F1 everytime ....i tried to find something in BIOS setting but unable to find anything ..do u guys think a BIOS upgrade would help ..i have BIOS upgrade 03 in this one ....and i got from so many people that sometimes computer does't run in same way after BIOS upgrade ..so plz suggest

i really wanted a gaming computer , but since i work at a univeersity they give me a special deal on a dell. It is a dell optiplex gx 745 with a 2.4 ghz processor, 2 gb of ram, 250gb hard drive, but only a 256mb ati radeon x1300 pro video card. i dont know if this will run games solidly, even if i am only a moderate gamer...i play warcraft, counter strike, americas army, btelfield vietnam, and stuff like that. will this video card run smoothly and will the processor make up for it. i was planning befor to get a 7900 or an 8600 gts nvidia or an ati x1950 pro, but this great deal came up and the video card cant be switched

I would like to add a graphics card to my computer and have been searching for one that is compatible but i am just getting more and more confused.

My motherboard is a P4i5G by ASROCK and states that it has 3 pci slots that have 32-bit pci interface and has an AGP slot but says do not use a 3.3v AGP card.

The most i would like my computer to do is play the sims 2. I do not really want to spend more than £60.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

I'm using a Compaq Presario V3205 (1.83GHz Core2Duo, 2GB DDR2, Intel Extreme GMA 950, Windows Vista Basic) and I can't seem to set the screen to a widescreen resolution (eg 1280x768) when I'm playing Warcraft 3. I know that the Intel GMA 950 isn't the best graphic processor but surely it is capable enough to render graphics for a game which is years old. Is it just a driver issue? Or do I just have to resign to playing in 1024x768 mode? Thanks people...
