It's not a real hologram, but it is often misconceived as such. It is technically a stereogram and an optical illusion with mirrors. I want to find out how to do this for an animation project I have coming up next year. This is not a hologram that one would make with a laser pointer and shiny metallic film, as seen on Visa cards or official NFL merchandise, but something entirely different, closer to the "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi" scene from Star Wars. I know it's possible as I've seen it with my own eyes, and I know I can do it, because the Sega game was in arcades ten years ago, and you people are ingenious enough to come up with a solution. Can't wait to hear from you guys, thanks in advance.

Can i transfer the contents of XP CD to my computer and transfer it to 1GB USB and use it to install XP to another computer? I have other PC but it has no cd rom, but it has usb port. Is this effective and have anyone tried this before?

I have a Inspiron 710m Dell laptop.

Bought it about a year ago and just wondering how much I would be able to get for it.

Everything is in great shape, 1 small scratch on the top of the lid and thats it.

It has 2 kingston gig sticks.

Runs awesome, Haven't had a problem since.

Would come with all the cd's I got it with, the batter, the case and the charger.

I'm relitively new to the insides of computers, but I'm learning by trial and error. Unfourtunately I have made an error, and it turns out my new computer (a1720n) only has 250 watts avalible. I want to install new graphics card that requires a minimum of 450 watts, is there an adapter of some kind I can get? Or do i have to get a new PSU altogether?

I have 4 USB Ports in my PC. All the 4 ports have stopped functioning immediately today. I have tried all the methods given in yahoo answers earlier of going to Device Manager, reinstalling the drivers, removing alll devices from USB Ports, putting off the PC and power etc etc and blahm blah and blah. Is it possible that the Universal Serial Bus has gone faulty on the mother board? Some intelligent answers please from hardware experts.

I exposed my system to static shock (don't ask) so it's not working. My question is, did it just erase everything on the HD or can I just reload with my recovery CD? What about the data on the HD? Can that be recovered? What about the other hardware, like the memory, etc.? Can that be used?

My basic question is, do I just throw all that crap out, or is it still useable?

I recently bought an external hard drive (not inside the computer), and It contains 250 GB and its a Seagate.

Well I have used it and can store all my files, but there
is a problem. I still have 1 day left to return my item.
I want to return my item for another hard drive but to be portable. I'm not sure if I should can you please help me?:D

Differeces are:
*It contains less GB's though (160-180).
*The 250 GB has to be powered by electricity and
the portable doesn't.
*The portable is way smaller that the 250 GB
(that is why its' portable) and can take it anywhere.

sometimes, it says NTLDR is missing. or, it just reboots while displaying the Windows XP logo, ending in a never ending cycle of booting and rebooting. one time, the dreaded blue screen appeared during start up, saying that i had to turn off caching in the BIOS, whatever that meant. most of the time, to fix the problem, i had to format the drive and reinstall the OS. the pc can now start up properly, but it makes me choose which OS to use, even though the only one installed is Windows XP Pro. Is there a better way to fix this? Why is it like this? What should I do to prevent this from furthing happening? GBs of valuable data have been lost because of this. I need your help.
My OS is Windows XP Pro SP2
80GB HDD
512MB RAM
if that can help.
