Right now I have:
-Power Supply
-Motherboard
-CPU
-Video Card
-RAM
-Case
-Monitor

Is this enough to be able to push the power button and have the computer run? Obviously without an OS and HD i can't work it, but will it run?

thanks

I have installed an Intel mother board and have a few issues with it. I called the Intel Support and was hung up on 6 times when I finally talked with someone I could hardly understand him with his accent. They were no help. I tried there web site support and when It looked like I may have found an answer the web page could not be found.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so where else have you found trouble shooting for an Intel Mother Board.

I own a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop, and supposedly I should be able to do wireless internet on it. However, for some reason I can never get a connection. The WiFi light in glowing but still can't get it to work. Do I have to buy a wireless router card/device to plug into the side of my laptop. Or am I right in believing that my laptop should already have all the necessary hardware to do wireless internet. Also, do I need to subscribe to any network to get a connection. I currently subscribe to a Tiscasi dial-up service. I also don't really understand the profiles either. On this screen is normally shows around three profiles/network names including MVB and Belkin54g. Who are these profiles and do I need to subscribe to them.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Hello, my Intel Centrino laptop is aged more than it has been used the TFT is beautiful gifts15 inch display, under Vista "Windows experience" then everything is graded 3.0 or above. However the graphics gets a failing rating; I'm not interested in the very low quality new laptops from China! So I want to purchase a graphics card and have it professionally installed, I see that you can mail it in to places, the trouble is posed to do so high. And that I have to wait forever/here in town staples will charge about $160 plus tax to create a card that I buy separately. How do I find someone local that is not so expensive? -- I can't ask the manufacturer because they no longer offers support on the old laptop. (It is four years old)

I just want to run a single computer simulation programme and not interested in the enhanced performance of the duo processor of multitasking. I just want to know which of the two is faster?

Intel® Viiv™ Pentium® D 925 Dual Core Processor (3.00GHz,800MHz,2x2MB cache) with 2048MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
or
Intel® Viiv™ Core™ 2 Duo E6320 Processor (1.86GHz,1066MHz,4MB cache) with 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]

On the surface, the Pentium D processor is faster, i.e. more processing power but limited by the FSB speed compare to Core Duo, which also has a faster Memory. In the end, which one is faster?

ok, this should be a fairly quick and easy question. lets say a game has minimum requirements of, oh, lets say 2.0 Ghz. if i have a dual core at 2 gigs, or lets go even lower, a dual core with 1.6, will the game still run nice and smoothly?
