I use an AMD Athlon San Diego 3800 2.4 GHz and have no complaints. It does what I need. Mine like the 939 Socket?

The ECS Elitegroup K8M800-M2 motherboard has a Socket 754 for the CPU, but the Athlon XP 3200 is a Socket A CPU. You cannot use that CPU with that motherboard.

Since your K8M800-M2 is a socket 754 motherboard, then I don't think an Athlon XP processor would work on it. According to Wikipedia (link below), an Athlon XP processor is only available for the Socket A (462).
