I would like to add a graphics card to my computer and have been searching for one that is compatible but i am just getting more and more confused.

My motherboard is a P4i5G by ASROCK and states that it has 3 pci slots that have 32-bit pci interface and has an AGP slot but says do not use a 3.3v AGP card.

The most i would like my computer to do is play the sims 2. I do not really want to spend more than £60.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

ATI 9600 Pro or 7300GS AGP are cheap and would not stress your power supply. Better/faster cards would require you to spend some more for a power supply upgrade to cope up w/ the power needs of those cards.

3.3V AGP cards are old and slow cards and hardly any around.

£seventy 5 is approximately $116. the 4770 expenses approximately $one hundred and has gotten stellar comments everywhere in the cyber web. the individuals at anandtech say its the suitable funds card around. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, it does require exterior potential (2 6-pin pci-e connectors, i've got self belief) and a 450W minimum psu. the individuals on the comparable internet site advise the BFG Tech LS sequence LS-550 550W psu as a reliable funds potential grant. you may desire to nevertheless purchase a 4670, yet 1gb of memory is overkill. on the settings that would relatively require that plenty memory, the 4670 isn't useful sufficient to grant playable (30fps+) physique costs and gddr4 isn't nicely worth it. it isn;t that plenty speedier or greater potential-powerful that gddr3. it relatively is why ati went with gddr5, which provides two times the information fee of gddr3.
