Can I add two different types of memory together in the same computer?

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
^^ I want to add this memory to my computer.

Hi. Yes. DDR memory is compatible, but the memory will only run as fast as your SLOWEST module. You may want the PC400 at dual mode. I use that and get a 6.2MB/sec transfer rate as measured by Everest Home edition.
