when i turn on my pc there is no signal to the monitor........everything turns on, everything is connected properly......it worked fine yesterday until i bumped the pc it and it turned off......i tried 2 different video cards and i have the same problem......the monitor has power just no signal.....it worked fine until i bumped it.......i hope i didnt fry something....any ideas will help

I am trying to find a laptop for basically downloading music and surfing the net. Not too much gaming (maybe the occasional monopoly). It doesn't need to be crazy technically savvy. How about 256mb, and 40gb?

Ok my pc has "DDR2 512 RAM MEMORY" and i was wondering can i just go into pc world and ask for a "DDR2 512 RAM MEMORY" to make 1 Gig ,or does it have to be a certain type, i know how to put the ram in and everything i just want to know is there many diffrent types or what?

i keep changing my screen size to 1024 X 768. It keeps going back to 800 X 600 after restarting and downloading, or playing a game. I change it, apply, and ok. How can i save this setting ?

Running windows XP; I keep my music on an external hard drive. Since I bought the hard drive, it has been recognized as "E" when I view "my computer". Now it shows as "F" and the program cannot find the music files. All of them have "E" attached. How do I get this back so I don't have to re-import 260 CD's? Any help is appreciated. And no, I am not using a different USB port. This just happend.

I have a microsoft milleneum 2000, and its been having problems. Like it was in safe mode for some strange reason, so i changed it to normal mode. When I got on n ormal mode the colors were the same as in safe mode, so i changed them to normal colors and changed the desktop size to normal (800 by 600) Then it told me to restart so the changes could work but they didn't. I've been doing this several times. Nothing happens. I want it to get normal so I can play my games on it !!!! help??

I've tried the "F8" key but it doesn't do anything it asks me if I want to reboot in Safe Mode and some other questions. I've done it before and that's not the screen that appeared last time.

I have a sony laptop, when I go to change the volume tru the start menu, it says there is no existing sound driver, then I go to the controll panel, and try to set up my external speakers, and it won't allow me to do that!... I HAVE NO SOUND!!!

I have noticed that the bigger monitors are generally odd sized only such as 17-inch, 19-inch, 21-inch and so on. But not the even sizes in between them. I was wondering if there is some reason behind it.

I want to use it for editing film, writing screenplays, music (I will have Itunes and I want to record music. Taking into account various Microsoft programs and Internet Explorer I guess it'll have to be quite big? Editing on my laptop is dreadful.
