Hello, you don't NEED Alienware to surf Internet my friend. Alienware computers are gaming systems.
You need a Dell. Shop at Dell and get what you want.

They're great computers for gaming but you pay more for the name.
If you're going to be surfing the net, downloading, and burning CD's you can get just about any computer on the market but make sure you get 1 or preferably 2 gigs of RAM.

You know. from a normal persons stand point. It's one heck of a computer. it's not the best computer on the market but it's in the very high end of computers.
If your not even remotely ever thinking about trying out the newest video games on the marktet. then i could recommend something alot slower.
but from time to time you hear about people buying a computer game and it doesnt work on the new computer.
your best option would be to cruise around the 1700$ range for the whole computer. You want a Dedicated GPU. if you find a computer with "SLI" then that is almost 100% always a good buy. you want at least 1024MB of memory and the fastest cpu on the market for the money

I agree with most of the people here To purchase a pc of that caliber and speed to surf the net, music & cd's. Not an economical choice. I would recommend doing your homework and look around you can find others to syit your needs for a lot less money.
Maybe a Dell perhaps?
Hope it helps.

These are very good computers. But getting one to "surf the net download music and burn cds" is like getting a Ferrari to sit in traffic while going to work.
Get a low end Dell. It will do what you want it to and you can use the extra bucks somewhere else.

Alienware computers are commonly assumed to be the "high end" computers. They are focused more on power gamers and are consequently in a higher price range.
They feature very fast performance and many different media-related bells and whistles... which I would consider "good".
In short: yes, they are good.

Alienware computers are the top of the line gaming computers. If you're only a web surfer, don't put yourself in debt to get one. But if you have the means....I highly recommend picking one up.

If you're not a gamer there's no need for an alienware machine. For what you're doing get a Dell.

Those are basically for gaming and making your friends jealous. Don't get me wrong they aren't bad machines but they are laden with eye candy features. If you're looking to impress people and make friends (geeky friends heh) then go for it, if not I'd go with putting your own custom system together.
DO NOT GET A DELL, I should repeat that but I typed it in all caps so that should be enough. If you really want to know why not to then ask on here: "What are the pros and cons of buying a Dell?" and you'll see. >:)
Ciao! :)
