i have a new laptop, hp dv6000 core 2 duo, but when its working it makes a little noise, actually it does that most of the time, is that normal??? its my first laptop, so i don know if is normal to heard some noises. this sound is very alike the sound most of the pcs do.

Okay I have this computer (DELL) and of course a dell mouse and keyboard. When i got those wireless it was pretty cool and the reception was well. It's been working perfectly all these years until now. If you have a wireless mouse, you obviously know there's a reciever with a button to strengthen the signAL on it. There's a similar button on the bottom of the mouse. Well, since yesterday, the mouse is losing the signal if you don't move it for like three seconds. I have to press that button on the bottom like every 5 seconds!!! I've tried pressing both signal buttons and restarting the computer, but nothing's worked! Please help!

I am considering buying a computer...well i am buying one, but i am thinking of buying a so-so laptop but a nice desktop... i am going to college and getting married... i dont do gaming or whatnot... is this a good idea (financially?) what brand should i buy... and what all should i do to make sure that they coordinate with each other... i am getting wireless internet... ive never had that before... anything i need to buy to use it??

it will not see my hard drives. I know they are functional as they were in my prior system. It turns on but does not see my hard drives. Any ideas??

I just got a laptop that is completely in German, even the Keyboard. It has windows xp on it. I have a windows xp disc myself. Can I just erase theirs windows and load mine? Do I need anything special for the keyboard? Any help would be extremely useful.

I think I pressed a command key combo or something. bottom line- I have a screen that is 90 degrees from the position it should be all the icons and such are aligned horizontally and not the traditional vertical. Other than that im completely confused. HELP!!!!!

i bought a usb flash drive 512mb cruzer micro brand. i accidently left it in my pocket from one of my jeans. i did laundry and when i dried my clothes and it was done, i saw the flash drive laying there. i was like omg i hope it is not broken. i pluged it in the computer and to my suprise it works! is this normal for usb flash drive to work after you stuck it in the dryer? i havn't had any problems yet and i hope i don't.

I own a few month old Compaq Presario V2000 that will not charge the way it uses to. When I plug it in, the charge light refuses to light up and charge my computer. To even think about charging it, I have to go to a certain outlet and place every piece of equipment (laptop, converter, plugs coming out of converter, etc) a certain way or it won’t charge; the only thing wrong with the area is it is high foot traffic, not good. Can I use another 18.5 output to charge my Laptop? HP/Compaq claims that my warranty is 10 days expired; was this all “programmed” to break? Any solutions that work will be gladly rewarded considering that EVERYTHING I do is sourced from the computer.

I cant understand why mac wants to looksmore fun than pc. Why cant i find any games for mac. the only good games i found are call of duty, halo, and WoW. Thats it! At least windows gets those games and more. i cant believe mac has no ea games. they are some of the best games out there. I am typing from a mac os x and cant find anything to do. I tried finding demos. No luck. I have had mac for one day now and its boring. I do have xp which is much better. xp do get more viruses but its because u have not thing do in macs. There are very little programs for os x compared to xp
