i have a desktop pc, and no monitor/keyboard/mouse for it. is it possible to use my laptop screen and keyboard to work on it? or is that just a stupid question

No question is stupid......
Most monitors have a way to hook up a TV or additional monitor to view from, but this is only a video out, you cant hook up your desktop to it because its not a video in.....
Not to say its impossible, if you know how to solder and have allot of patience it could be done.....it just wouldn't be practical....

at the same time as u replace a not ordinary disc or ram, etc. ... from time to time the configurations do not tournament with those of the comp.'s.. so as that may be the prob. yet in the previous u do some thing... attempt operating ur restore disc first. If the prob nonetheless persists, then u will opt for to the contact a technician. solid success.

it can be done but you would have to disassemble the laptop. The converters needed are extremely expensive. Cheaper to get a regular setup

The trick is to take the laptop apart and get it all plugged in. Once you do that it's all downhill.
