How come my computer freezes up at least once a day? The Mouse doesn't move, the NUM LOCK or other keys stay on, and The system doesn't respond or anything, how can I fix this, or anyt other info would help, thanks in advance!

Oh, and I dont think i have any viruses or anything, but it stops responding even when I'm not using the PXC or have any programs running

Go to Lavasoft.com to git yersef some AdAware downloaded to hep ya purge yer system of da blue meanies! The CCleaner will help too...but ya gotta use the 'issues' part as well as delete yer temp internet files n cookies!

Possible Virus or Spyware

Alot of stuff at Startup

Need more memory

running norton which sucks...

VIRUS or SPYWARE may be on your computer. This crap will suck up a lot of ram and make your computer run reallllly slow and can cause it to freeze even when just doing simple tasks like reading e-mail. or you may be overloading your system... I need more details to be honest.

If it's a USB connected mouse, update the driver for the mouse. If you can't update the driver, unplug and replug the mouse preferably in a different USB port (the USB ports sometimes stop working).

make sure ur HDD isnt fully used up and make sure ur do a disk cleanup so get rid of those unwanted stuff on ur computer. another thing is make sure u do a virus scan and a spyware scan....there is a possibility there is a worm or something slowing and freezing ur pc.

You might want to run a virus check. It sounds like you might have a virus. You should periodically run a virus check and also defrag your system.

your ram is shared between your processor and your video feed
so a simple solution is installing at least 128 mb video card to free up your ram for processing .

You probably have a virus.Don't Panik you can get a anti virus program.
