What does it mean when you go into my computer, and try to open a cd file and it says this:

E:/is not accessible

Abort function

Also, when I try to right click on them to send them to the disc, it does not say E drive anywhere on it. I have already had this drive replaced once, as it is still under warranty. Thanks!!!

i've had my laptop for about three years now and have had no major problems with it. reccently when i startup my computer after about a second the screen gets about 3 shades brighter (and i already have it set to max when it comes to brightness) then i notice everything has become rather...well i can see pixels..lots of them. especially when watching videos and in certain images. this has never happened before and now it won't stop. it's really ugly and very noticable and i'd like to know what the problem is, is there a way to fix it or do i have to buy i new laptop?

When i put DVD movies in my DVD rom, it tries to read, the led keep blinking few times. After 3 to 4 min., it stops and fail to recognise the DVD and DVD rom drive icon get venished from the "my computer" page. Waht could be the possible reason and solution for this?

I don't have that problem as I know my password but I was wondering if its possible to boot up the PC even when you have used a system password in the setup option before the OS loads up. A friend of mine told me if I removed the battery, it would reset to default's settings and so it wouldnt ask me for a password however I tried this and I still needed a password to boot up the system. I also noticed the time and date were fine. So considering the fact that you can't enter in Safe mode nor boot from the CD..is there still a way to load the OS if you don't know the system password? Thanks. :)

I can watch tv shows on my laptop and I want to connect my laptop to my tv to watch them on a bigger screen. My laptop is a DELL LAtitude D610 and I have a 40" plasma with every hook up capability imaginable. I thought I could just connect my laptop to my tv with an S-video cord (and then I connected my laptop to my stereo to get a big sound), but there is "no signal" on my tv... am I missing something?
