Go to the manufactures web site look for downloads then drivers type in your model number and reinstall the audio driver

Install the soundriver from the manufacturers website. ( speakers ) or update the available drivers.
or you can just add hard ware.

you need to dowload the driver again, if that does not work them make sure you speakers are pluged in right and truned up, them if still not working go buy a 5$ sound card and plug it into your PCI slot

go to start and then programs and see if the speaker icon is there and if not go to my computer and it should be there,r maybe u have to reinsatll the drivers for the speakers and see if that help

i had that on my old computer. go to 'controll panel' and then 'sound'. there should be something wrong w/it. I remember only vaguely(did it 3 years ago) but that should help, or else the sound on the actuall monitor is shut off.

go to..control panel..printers and other hardware..click add hardware..go through the wizard..say your sound card is connected..and find it..and install it..that should do it..if it doesnt work try again..just use a diffrent..sound thing..

it could be simply that your volume control has your speakers muted...
find your volume control (start, programs, accessories, entertainment) and then make sure everything is not on mute.
