the power symbol and the light near the floppy disc thing was flashing yellow and then i tryed turning my computer on but it wouldn't is it broken for good or what?

Okay, I've narrowed my laptop search to two. Which one is better? I write, I use the internet, I watch movies, I travel a lot so it has to be durable, I play games, and I listen to music. I love the tablet, they're both the same amount, and I can get the Asus in pink (I think). Here are the links

ive got an hp pavillion dv9205 laptop running vista premium and when i restarted it, before it went to the login screen, it paused on a black screen with a thick yellow line running vertically down the left side of the screen! wtf is that. it was there for about 8 seconds and then continued to the logon screen. anyone ever seen this before?

I am trying to get pictures from my kodak easyshare onto my website, but the only access I have to the internet is at work, and the computer does not allow me to install software, since I am not an administrator. Spring is very small and holds small roller in place in the back of my Hewlett Packard. I need to replace them. I dropped the door and they flew out and I cannot find them anywhere. The spring is about the size of a watch spring and the roller is about the size of roller on a typewriter. Any help appreciated. TY

I have a lcd pc monitor and in need of an extra tv and don't really want to pay 300 for one the same size as the extra monitor i have so can i buy some kind of converter that has a serial monitor cable input and a video cable on the other end so i can connect it to the cable box? forget about audio i know a stereo on aux hooked to the cablebox can work for that or a surround sound system i dont mind spending money on for my livingroom and moving my cheap stereo into the bedroom with this monitor so please PC experts help!
