My Dell Dimension L700cx is making an unusual noise that I traced back to the power supply. It makes a noise like it is using too much power… ever since the techie installed the DVD R/RW Burner. What is wrong? Is it my burner? I think the power supply has like 170w or something.

i need to buy new pc....i should run the multimedia apps like premiere , aftereffects 3dmax etc.....

my budget is 20 k.....
suggest me what can i get best ....single core / dual core

and suggest both AMD and intel configs ....

and graphics cards details too....

also suggest any config u feel good but goes above 20 k....

and dont forget to mention individual prices

my computer is very very slow i ran a scan and i need to know how toremove what my scan said was garbage files and bytes of wasted hard drive and do disk optimization everything i tried has not worked i have found lot of things that i down loaded then they ask u to bye these high price things is they a way to do it without buying these they are so expensive to get

i am having problem with my DVD Device, My DVD device is not reading some DVDs, but some DVDs and CDs are working fine on it. whenver i enter the DVD in DVD device it makes some sounds and its light blinks but nothing happens after this and when i try to open the DVD manualy, it gives me error that " Disk is Currupted or it has data that is not compatible with windows". but this DVD works fine on other DVD devices.
what problem is this please help me

i am buying new system as under.
intel core 2 duo 1.8
intel DG965wh board
1 GB DDR2 667 ram
250 GB SATA
19 wide samsung TFT
i already have G FORce 6600 256 MB PCI E card
to play hardcore games i have now two options
first double my ram by 2 GB or upgrade my graphics card to 7600 GT. i need opinion which should i buy first to play all hottest game available in the market.

My computer is making random noises. I KNOW it's not a dying fan, because they're like, familiar sounds and it's always different. Sometimes it's the AIM received message sound, sometimes it's the beginning of a song (I don't have ANY music on my computer... it's a new hard drive), sometimes it's a Windows system sound. I don't have any themes on, and I don't have any processes running that shouldn't be. What is going on?

the problem is my printer is this: the letters it prints out is faded and the images the wrong colors. i want a black and white picture of lincoln, the results seems to be something done by kafka. it's psychedelic. is my printer on drugs?

Like I said it just turned off for no reason and no won't turn on when I press the power button. Nothing works. It's been about a half hour now and it should have cooled off by now if it overheated. Can anyone help me.

I purchase a Dell Latitude C610 a few years ago. It had a operating system of Windows 2000. For some reason it just crashed on me. Nothing would work. A complete crash much to my dissapointment.
Recenty I decided to try and get it going again. I installed Windows XP and got it back up again. Now I am trying to make an internet connection but when I do, I am told it is unable to detech a modem. How do I add the modem so I am able to connect to the internet? I have checked the settings and they show everything is enable. Contacted Dell but no help. Thanks for any help. I would be thankful just to be able to connect to the internet once again. Can I purchase a new modem? How would I install it?

Hi there... My CD burner works fine when there is content on the CD but when I go to insert a blank CD to be burned the green light just keeps flashing but nothing happens. Window pops up asking that a blank CD be inserted into the drive but it's already inserted and doesn't recognize the blank CD to be burned. Nothing happens and the pop up doesn't disappear. I wonder if I just need to buy a new CD-R burner device for my computer??? Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!!!
