Like I said it just turned off for no reason and no won't turn on when I press the power button. Nothing works. It's been about a half hour now and it should have cooled off by now if it overheated. Can anyone help me.

Well it could be a lot of things, but the things that you can do something about are:
Check to see when you plug it into the charger, the charging light or whatever indicator is on your laptop comes on.

Check to see if your battery is in. Take it out and put it back in.

If your battery is in there, if it has some sort of button on the battery to see if it is charged, check it. If your battery is charged and your comp still wont come on, there is a problem.

The easy solution would be that your battery died or became disconnnected.

As many of these people are correct by saying it's likely the battery, it could have overheated. Simply wait about a half an hour to an hour, then try it again. Make sure it's on well-vented surfaces, such as counter tops or tables, and make sure you don't let it run on the carpet or on a blanket for a long time, because this would prevent circulation.

Sounds like a dead battery or power supply. Plug in the power adapter and see if you can power the laptop up. If not your power adapter may be dead .. find someone with a similar laptop and borrow theirs and see if it will boot with their power supply. If it will you will need to buy a new power adapter. You can get one from laptops For Less...http://www.laptopsforless.com/

Good luck!

It probably needs charging - my mom's used to do that a lot cuz she gad a defective battery. Once we replaced it, it stays on properly.
