Well a couple of things you can do. Go to the start menu, programs, accessories, system tools, disk cleanup. Run that to remove unnecessary files on your computer. Then go to the same location but run disk defragmenter. This will relocate files on your computer in order to optimize the speed at which they can be accessed. Now, it sounds like you might have spyware and possibly viruses too. For a great antivirus tool, go to http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 and click the hyperlink for the antivirus. They have an anti spyware tool looking at it now (I haven't used it or seen it before). both are completely free and will always remain so. AVG (that's the name of the program) will automatically update itself, run on startup, perform scans, all on its own. It's really an install and forget program. Hope that helps. If not, your computer might just need a RAM upgrade (buy another stick or so [the more the merrier])

My suggestion: time for an upgrade! Something as simple as putting in more memory can boost your PC's performance by a lot! Can you send me your computer specs? Then I can tell you exactly what to upgrade. Computers will slow down over time and this is an inescapable fact.

Did you try running disk cleanup and disk defragment on your computer? If all else fails you could backup what you want and reinstall your OS, sometimes that is the best thing to do, but not too frequently.

you have no need to buy software, you can use 'avg free' for anti virus and 'spybot' and 'adaware' for spyware. dont waste money buying software, there is always some free stuff on the web.
