They wont play sound i was told i need to install them but i dont know any sites or know how to install them can you please help me because i love listening to music on the computer so please help!?

I have tried installing my new hard drive as a slave drive on another computer and then used te seagate DiscWizard to copy the files from the master drive to the slave drive and then made the slave drive the master drive on a different computer. The problem is that i get an error about the Operating System not being detectable. So is there a way i can get windows xp onto that slave drive and have it bea master drive/

Hello, there is a PC in my dads office. it has no OS but runs some prog that monitors all the Cameras. Something tarrible happened and its recorded on that PC's HD!

WHat is the FASTEST and EASIEST way to Damage the computer especiallly the HD so that the HD cannot be re-used. PLEASE this is NOt a joke! Tell me how to damage it and i'm on it! oh ya.. i only have like 15 mins to do it.. cuz his assistant is gonna be out for only 15 (lunch break) Or can i run a cd that will damage everything!?? PLEASE HELP SOON!!

I have a windows os on my pc and i want to remove it. I want to have linux os instead. I dont want to change my hard disk. How could that that be possible? I also want to work windows softwares on it (exe or something...) That was possible in our school but i dont know what they installed.

my mother has an older laptop that came with windows ME and a friend of hers had installed windows xp on it now there isnt even room on this laptop to run anything else besides say aol and thats it she cant do anything on this computer because it cant handle win xp.....I have searched online how to do this and have tried reformating it wont let me i have tried several different things and i cant seem to get it to work ive tried a site where it said to boot with the cd and at the prompt type fdisk well a prompt comes up saying a:/ but when i type fdisk it wont do anything and it comes up with the a:/ again does anyone have any suggestions how i can do this to fix this computer?? I have the original recovery cd for thsi computer which has windows ME on it

I just ordered a Macbook Pro, and I am hoping to use it w/ my viewsonic 17" monitor. The macbook is widscreen, and the monitor is not. Will this present a problem? What settings, if any, will I have to adjust to make it work with appearing distoreted?

my sis accidently broke a keyboard key of the laptop. the key is working fine,but the button is out of its place. can anyone tell me how to fix it ?. just in case its a toshiba tecra 8100.

I have 2 hard drives and 1 machine.
I want to have 1 HD for gaming and the other for Storage.
Is this possible? The other HD is from my old computer.

How do i install my old HD in my computer so that i can use them both? Do I connect the wires connected to my default HD with the old one? Would it try to load 2 HD's at the same time and cause problems?

the day it stoped working i did a virus scan, it came up clean!, i cleaned out the cookies, and a complete disk clean up along with a defragment. i charged the battery over night and when i went to use it the next day it wouldn't turn on, i thought it might have been the ac adapter, but it still wouldn't turn on when i bought a new one. does anyone have any idea what it would be? or if i took it in how much it would cost to fix it?

Over the last few days, my notebook PC (IBM X Note, 29 gb hard drive, 512 mb ram, CPU 2 ghz, Windows XP with service pack 2), has crashed four times while trying to burn mp3s to CDR. It doesn't seem to matter which programme I use (I have tried Windows Media Player and Nero with the same result). It suddenly comes up with a blue screen with white writing on it for a split second, then restarts Windows. No problems noted with anything else. Any ideas...please?

I currently have an Athlon 64 3000+ 1.8 ghz and 1 gig of RAM. For roughly the same dough I could either upgrade the cpu to an Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2 ghz, or double the RAM to 2 gigs. But what would actually make a noticeable difference in the pc's performance?

When I buy the external hard drive (200mb) I am going to transfer all of my important data to the new drive. Then I'm going to try to reload windows xp into the new externalhard drive. My reason for tying this is becuse my internal hard drive is screwing up and failing. I just want to know if it is possible to do this?

I have taken off all the programs I no longer use, shut off as many programs as I can that run in the background, done a disk clean up, spyware scan and a virus scan - the computer is clean, but still running slowly. Any suggestions?

I have an HP Compaq laptop and every once in a while, without me even hitting the Caps Lock key, my text gets stuck in Caps Lock. I usually have to turn off my computer to get it fixed or sometimes I just try to function with it like that and it goes away. Anyone else have the same problem? How do I fix or prevent that from happening again?

I have 2 internal HDD's one for windpws XP and programs, the other was for storing mp3s. I am using the pc as a jukebox with touch screen interface. I filled the 2nd hdd as I am using an older motherboard that cannot see anything biger than 30GB. I am now storing all my music on an external 320GB drive.

At present the 2nd drive is empty. What I would like to know is would having all other programs except XP on the 2nd drive improve/hinder performance. Is there any use for this 2nd drive now or should I just remove it?
