Actually, my guess would be that you don't have this printer set as default printer. Go to start, control panel, printers and faxes, and open "view installed printers", find your printer and place the cursor over the printer and right click, you should see a check mark next to "set as default printer", if you don't see the check, click on the "set as default printer" and make sure the check is there, hit ok or apply and try it again.

give details, what kind of printer, what kind of computer....
we cant help you unless we know what the problem is
but try this:
go to the printers list, and right click on your printer. set it as the default and try to print again

after you uninstall it, unplug it from the computer and restart it. Then if you want to reinstall the printer first shut off your anti-virus program then plug it in and install it

You probably need to re-load the drivers. You should insert the CD that the printer came with and re-load the drivers, or download it from the internet.
