Please help, everything is bigger because I probably accidentally pressed something...does anyone know how to fix this?

I burnt a CD-RW disk the ther day and it won't play in my car CD player. I bought 5 of these disks and i cannot use them.

You guys had great answers, and I appreciate it. But I went away for a week for Christmas, and unplugged everything. Came back, and booted up, and the colors are right again!!! Had tried the deguaus thing, etc, moved any magnetic possibilities, still no help. But a week with it off, and it is back to normal, EXCEPT I use "starfield" for my screensaver, which has a totally black background. It is now a brownish background.
Is my monitor still on its way to a dirt nap?

Its an aopen 6600gt pci 128mb. The fan works and I put new thermal paste on it yet within minutes of playing doom3 it gets up to 75c and crashes.

I had left the screen saver on for about 9 hours. When I came home there was a visible verticle burn mark on my screen. That shouldn't happen so I called them.

At first they told me it wasn't under warranty, (which it was, I had only had it for a month). Now I can't get anyone to call me back. I have left several voice mails for my case managers. They are giving me the run-around. So what should I do?

I just want my computer back!!!

I use my computer mostly for work things like internet, email, word, etc. It isn't that slow but it would be great if it went a little faster. What could I buy that would make it faster? I have really basic parts in it nothing fancy. Maybe a new processor would help?

I've had this issue for some time, and I wanted to know the reason. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it is a short, high pitched sound. It's happened to me when trying to record from iMovie, and the volume is set to 2 levels, so I don't know what could be happening. Any suggestions?

i have a laptop but it crashed something like that.
my dad took it and was gonna insert the cd that comes along w/ it to delete everything and stuff but we can't find the cd. so if you know what im talking about, do they sell it?
its the cd you have to put it when you first buy the laptop.

What will I need to use i have a SP1 disk but it will not work, i cant do anything because it restarts by it self before it even gets to the main screen, while its loading on the Windows XP screen it restarts

OK, the stats first:

Compaq presario s6000nx
256MB RAM
2.7ghz
C drive 32.1GB : 7.68GB is free
D drive 5.13GB : 993MB is free
(think these are 1 drive split up?)

The system properties says the HD is an IDE.

First off I know that I need more RAM, gonna get it. Recently the thing was running real slow because I almost filled up the C drive so I deleted all games and unecessary stuff, ran the disk cleanup and defragmentation and it helped.
I would like to buy a new HD to add on to the exsisting one(s?), lets say 100 GB. Question #1
1) Can this model handle that size?
I have heard that the more space you keep on the HD (that contains windows-mine is C) is a good idea. Question #2.
2) Is that true?
3) If I put things like ALL my large aftermarket applications or very large games on the new HD (soon to be F drive), Will they run any slower (trying to access F drive) than if on C drive?

A few months ago the up arrow key on my keyboard fell off because i was trying to get something from under it, and now my brother was on the computer and says the F key just fell off when he was typing! I own a Latitude D520 laptop and obviously the keys are very easily taken off. Is there any store or anything that sells extra keys or fixes the keyboard? I live in Miami. I am using Windows XP. I know that I can adjust it from power options so that it turns off after some minutes of no activity. But I want to know the way to disable and enable it immediately whenever I want. I had an fn+F key shortcut at my previous laptop, however no fn+F combination works for this one.
