If your Windows still works and yes save up your money to buy a motherboard and a processor and more RAM and a long with that graphics card because Windows Vista requires 2,000 GHz 1.25 GB of RAM from your graphics card you need 128 MB don't forget the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Windsor 2.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor. Now your hard drive if I read it correctly on the question is 250 GB hard drive that enough space for Windows Vista. If you are a gamer go for the big stuff like the new Nvidia motherboards and graphics cards with the logo SLI on it. Now what you're question says about your computer is too small

It says on the page you linked to that it comes with Windows XP. But you should understand, however, that just because it comes with an operating system, it doesn't mean that you can't install a different one on it at some later date. If you wanted to, you could install Vista on that computer. It even says the following on that page: QUOTE # Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Furnishes time-tested reliability and can be upgraded to Vista /QUOTE

Run the Microsoft Vista Upgrade Advisor on :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx

It will run on 512, but they suggest upgrading to 1 GB. The test is interactive and it checks hard drive free space, programs, etc.

It will run slow as crap so IMO, not worth spending that kind of money on it, you can't upgrade your motherboard, dude.... you got a Dell (proprietary components).

Save for a new PC, maybe next time you ll be smarter and get something other then a Dell.

if your puter is 2 years or older don't bother buying Vista....
it's going to be installed on the next puter you buy...
over all--- your old windows works fine, so wait till you need to buy a new one. save your money and in a year or 2.. buy a new puter.
I have a 350gig Alienware laptop (7,000 bucks) top of the line.
in 5 years it may be obsolete

That site will automatically go through your configurations and tell you what your computer may need or has enough of. It also provides three categories (good, better, and best) to rate you on how well your computer will run Windows Vista.

You don't have enough RAM to run Vista.
Buy at least 1G or even better 2G.
