A fool? lol
Try cleaning the monitor using a damp lint free cloth soaked in NOTHING but water. Make sure it's only damp as well.
Once this is done, then dry with a completely dry lint free cloth.
You may find that the anti glare and anti static hasn't actually been removed but you have nasty smearing from the stuff on the baby wipe. Cleaning again with the water based wipe suggested here may well bring things back to normal.

Baby wipes may contain a small amount of alcohol which may not be helpful and may damage your anti-glare and anti-static coating if done quite a number of times, however, if you just did it once, there won't be any damages. The best way to clean your monitor is by using a damp chamois or better yet, 3M anti-static monitor cleaner dipped in plain WATER.

I clean my monitor with baby wipes and then polish it with a dry cloth. I've never had any problems with my screen coating. What type of monitor is it?
