Is there any way I can save my files, photos and programs off of my hard drive and (probably) put it on another harddrive ( and if that is possible, how does that work)? Thanks!

The easiest way to get the data (files and photos) off is through a USB drive, but you'll need to be able to get into windows first. Programs are extremely difficult to move from one installation of windows to another because the software makes changes to files all around Windows, so you can't just copy the files over.

If you can try to boot and then write down the exact error message you see we can help you better. Perhaps we can get you into windows somehow so we can copy your files if it is still necessary.

Info we need:
1) What type of laptop do you have, model and make (i.e. Dell Inspiron 9300).
2) what operating system are you using (win98, winME, winxp, winxp Pro).
3) exact error message please!
