Hi,

I bought my first laptop 5 months ago, its Toshiba Tecra A7. whenever i run my laptop, the fan starts to function quitely but after a while it becomes a little bit noisy. ( noiser than most laptops which i have ever seen). what seems to be the problem, i mean is this normal?

does cpu speed has something to do with fan cooling speed and thus noise? my laptop is 2.0 GHz daul core.

do i need to replace the fan or bare the noise?

The noise comes from the area where the vent is, so i guess its from cpu fan and not from hard disk.

I saved what i needed on a backup disk but my ibook is not letting use office games and limewire due to some library folder error.reboot it with my osx cds should i?

well as i remember it has 96 MB shared (I had 2 GB of Ram)
2.13 GHz Intel (M) centrino S7200-C tablet laptop

now it only has 64 MB video shared, I still cant figure out why
but since whether I use video decoding or editing such as winAVI or Nero video decoding
it shut down after 10 mins or so or 15 to 20 % of the video I tried
can anybody help me please?

I got the Desperate Housewives Pc game for Christmas and also a brand new sony vaio vgn-n110 G and when I went and installed the game I failed on video acceleration and it says it need accel and my computer says I have accel. What can i do to resolve this issue so I can install the game. please help I really want to play it

I am currently working temporarily at a well-known thumbdrive company in Singapore. I have customers asking me if it possible to make a thumbdrive bootable, i.e. to make the computer startup from the thumbdrive itself. I bought my laptop approx 6mnths ago and the past two weeks its bcome extremely slow, sometimes i wait for 10 minutes before it opens up a program. When i play games and on the net everythings in slow motion most the time.
Why is it doing this and what can i do to speed it up again?

How can I update my system so World of Warcraft and other MMORPGs arnt choppy?
I recently started played World of Warcraft and it is extremely choppy in the forest and open areas but in closed areas its smooth. After ruling out latency and drivers, I have realized its my video card. My card is a S3 ProSavageDDR with recent drivers.
ALSO* I checked my system's compatability on a cool site for WoW and it says my video card is not compatible because it doesnt have lighting and transition or something..

System Specs-

AMD Athlon 1666 MHz
992 MB ram
S3 ProSavageDDR(32mb 4x AGP speed)
Mother Board: MSI KM2M Combo (MS-6738)
- 1 462 Socket
- 3 PCT 1 AGP
VIA ProsavageDDR chipsets

I was wondering what video card I could buy to get a nice smooth game. Either way i need a better card around 50-70 bucks that would fix up the computer.

I found an nVidia at 32mb with 8x AGP speed but I was looking for something with a higher core without killing my wallet.

I have HP DV6114TX notebook, i have received a remote control with it a kind of L Shape, it was working few days back but now its not working, i have changed the battery and checked it, but no success. The specs say it has a max memory of 1GB (2x512MB PC2700 SODIMM). I am wondering if anyone knows for certain whether this laptop can take 1GB PC5300 SODIMM modules, and/or address 2GB of RAM. Is a BIOS upgrade required or anything like that? I'm looking for people with real-world experiences with this laptop model. Thank you!

I received an eMachines T6544 PC for Christmas, and I'm wondering if I should keep it or exchange it for something better. It's replacing a Dell (ack!) Dimension desktop with Windows XP Home Edition only 254MB of RAM, a bad integrated 64MB Intel video card, 37GB of hard drive space, and a 2.4GHz Celeron processor. The eMachines is superior in every way except for the processor speed. The eMachines has a whopping 250GB of hard drive space, an NVIDIA GeForce 6100, DVD+RW drive, a gigabyte of RAM, and runs on the Windows XP Media Center Edition operating system (which I want). The only thing I'm worried about is that the eMachines has AMD Athlon 64 processor that runs only 2.2GHz. I have another Dell that's newer and is superior to the one mentioned earlier, and it is inferior to the eMachines except for its Pentium 4 2.8GHz processor. I'm primarily using games like The Movies, BF2142, and I'm just worried that the eM's processor is going to have a significant effect on their performance.
