Hi,

I bought my first laptop 5 months ago, its Toshiba Tecra A7. whenever i run my laptop, the fan starts to function quitely but after a while it becomes a little bit noisy. ( noiser than most laptops which i have ever seen). what seems to be the problem, i mean is this normal?

does cpu speed has something to do with fan cooling speed and thus noise? my laptop is 2.0 GHz daul core.

do i need to replace the fan or bare the noise?

The noise comes from the area where the vent is, so i guess its from cpu fan and not from hard disk.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your fan isn't cooling your computer. I would go buy a new CPU and a fan. It may not be your CPU, but i'd upgrade it anyway.

You may have bad fan bearings; either there is not enough lubricant or the fan got spun backwards, there are lots of things that can cause this. You could also have something blocking the fan, like hair around the blades or dust.
If it is a case of a dirty fan, clean it. If not the least annoying way to rectify this IMHO is just to replace the fans. If it is under warranty, see if the mfg will check it out for you and fix it.

Dual core CPUs are most powerful than others, so they want to feed more.I mean they need more voltage and cause of that they will make extra pulse and get hot. if you go to your product web site you'll see all the informations about it such as performanse , clock speed, using voltage , ... .so it is usual (but a little bit more noises from other CPUs, about 15% , not more !!!)
but WAIT !!!
what kind of place did you work with your laptop? is it safe?
i mean it should be a flat place such as glass, wood ,... not bed , plastic , ... because these matterials don't let your laptop to breath ,and the air on your case of laptop can not go out!!!
