If your CD drive will not open the only way to force it open is to insert the pin. If it is consistantly oing this you should get it checked out and probably replace the drive

Go to My Computer>right tic>manage>device manager>CD/DVD Drives>left tic>select the CD-Rom drive letter>right tic>select un-install>reboot the computer and let the drivers reload. The tray should open normally now.

Hey
My advice is to kick it open. NO WAIT!!!!!!!!!! it was a joke xD, listen i think when you did some thing the power connections to the cd driver has been unpluged to some reason, maybe it is broken from inside the cd drvie or if u uoi have installed it new into your computer maybe it doen't support it well try all these if not meet with computer repair nerd and get it fix you might need to replace it by new one. i think it wil worth like 150 to 200$ well maybe less.
Best wishes and happy new year and eid mubarak

You can take the front cover off the computer while it is running if it is a desktop model and try opening and closing it that way. It happened to me too with my HP and taking off the front cover and just gently messing with it fixed it.

uh it depends on what drives you have..most of the pin ones are for laptops so you can open them when theyre not responding or its just that the pc is off.

Make sure the power connector is seated properly, if so, the drive is defunct!
