I am looking for someone who can do computer repairs at a reasonable price here in plymouth indiana that can work on laptops my screen is flricking and I need help on it please someone out there?

the screen is new it was replaced by gateway this past year when they by mistake broke it while replacing the keyboard, how much does a video card cost?

Double check to make sure you are not operating your laptop near fluorescent lights, or even a power breaker box. These cause fluxes in the magnetic field around you, and can result in a dimmed, or flickering screen.

If not that, then hopefully it's just the video card connection...but past that...then:

If the screen is going bad though, I'm afraid your laptop may be toast. No tech will work on that, you would have to go through the manufacturer.

SPECULATION EDIT:

Well, maybe they didn't get a solid connection when plugging the cable into the video card. It might have wiggled free, or be in the process of wiggling free. I would take it back, and make them look at it. Honestly, most techs stay away from that part of the laptop. Memory, hard drives, sometimes, but chip replacement or anything that involves completely disassembling a laptop would be shied away from.

Your best bet is to force Gateway into fixing the laptop.
