The creators of the game rushed to get it on the market for Christmas. I have a computer that's a year old and it won't play and I refuse to spend more money on a video card to get it to play!

All my other SIMS games play just fine.

I believe it's a microsoft conspiracy. Have you noticed that it isn't MAC compatible and it's only the WINDOWS XP with Pentium 4? I have an AMD Athelon processor (which KICKS Pentiums butt) and the video card AMD uses is unsupported.

There's a website answer page totally DEDICATED to what video cards don't work and therefore, you cannot install through the back door. It simply won't run.

Here's the link:

Unless you're willing to upgrade your video card, you're out of luck.

You should ask the publisher for support as they know their game better than any one else.

In general, if a program says you lack a certain type of video card / acceleration / feature, and you are not sure you have it, you probably do NOT. In case of a laptop / notebook, they are generally NOT designed to run games and thus... well, you can't play it. Again, contact publisher for support.
