in startup i found 2 option microsoft windows and microsoft windows (default) how to remove second option. and start computer using default mode. can i delete boot.ini file

no, dont delete it. Edit it with either notepad or DOS. Make sure you save the original file name it bootini.bak or something of the sort then open it make changes and save as boot.ini . If you mess up you can boot to a 98 floppy and restore the old backup file by renaming it back to boot.ini

It is danger if you delete this file. Try to open System Configuration Utility:

Start>Run
Type msconfig and run
Select Normal Startup.

I don't know this work or not....
But try this is better than delete boot.ini file
