First you should clean up the cookies, internet history, and tempory internet files. Tpo do this right click on the desktop shortcut to internet explorer, than go to properties and there will be a clean up for the history, cookies and tempory internet files.

THan you should run a disk cleanup to get rid of any un necacarrey files on your compuuter. To do this click start, accessories, system tools, than disk clean up. Than select drice C to clean up and click ok.

Once that has finished defragment the computer. To do this click on start, programs, accessories, system tools than disk defragmentor. THan once it has opened click defragment. THis could take a long time.

To keep your computer runnung at it's optimum speed you should do this about once a month.

Also tio keep your computer going fast be shure to shut it down when you stop using at the end of each day, don't just go into standby or hibernate.

If this does not work and the computer is no more than two or three years old you could add more Ram to it, but if the computer is more than three or four it's not worth it

You need to first remove all ad ware/spy ware/walware and then do a disk cleanup.
I use Ad Aware as I find it to be the most effective - link below
Then go to start>programs>system tools> disk cleanup. Have it remove all temporary internet files and anything else that is in the window.
Then run a virus scan and a disk defrag just to be *angelic look* good.

How much is your harddrive's capacity, ie, 3GB, 60GB, 120GB. Also your RAM is a factor, 128, 256, 512MB. You might even be plagued by a virus or spy ware. My daughter used Limewire (against my husband's wishes) and cought a virus. There are tons of possibilities for this issue. Also look to see what all you have running at the same time. I have to shut down my photo center for faster internet speed.
