I've had my computer for about 5 or 6 yrs, I installed a new harddrive about 2 yrs ago. About 2 months ago my computer started shutting down by itself, now when it shuts down it makes a funny beeping sound and the green light on the p.c. stays on but the monitor light turns yellow and the screen is completely black or says NO SIGNAL. At first somebody told me it could be the fan, so i installed a stronger fan and cleaned out the harddrive to start from scratch. The computer was good for about 2 weeks and then started shutting down again. I checked on the RAM cards and they seem to be fine. The computer does not have any set time that it turns off, sometimes it shuts down within an hour and sometimes it can take 5 hours. Lately it's been shutting down pretty quickly, its also been freezing on me wich is funny because the first time it wasn't freezing . I have Nortons Antivirus and Adaware but the PC don't stay on long enough for me to run a full scan. Time 4 a new PC ?

I have just bought a new Graphics card that uses a PCI Express slot. Unfortunately, I've got home to find my computer has an AGP slot. Are they the same or, as I'm guessing, different? And is it worth buying a AGP Graphics card or upgrade my mother board?

I am the only one who uses, and I haven't changed settings. It was working fine on the sites I need, and then yesterday those sites are not working. Contacted other end and they work. Had telephone company out here to check internet, it's fine. But, for some reason my computer is blocking me out of the sites I need for my work.

Background info to question: First the delivery was delayed, then a new motherboard was needed (it took about a MONTH! before I got the PC back), then a new hard disc… & I’m not even sure it’s working properly now - & their customer service is appalling, I am dreading calling them again -if I can get an answer!

Please let me know what you think of this company.

I have a hard drive with some very expensive software on it that I don't have anymore, the harddrive came out of a Dell pc and i'm trying to install it in my Gateway pc as a slave. Both pc's were running on the Windows XP system. I was told that Windows XP wouldn't allow me to interchange harddrives. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I took it to a local computer shop and the tech installed it as a slave but didn't open it up to see if it worked, luckily I opened it before I left his shop and it wouldn't work so he told me to give him a few days with it. Everytime I call he says he 's working on it, or he trying something new. I never dealt with this guy before, so I'm coming to you for your expertise,Thanks

I have had my computer repaired several times for this matter.
My computer keeps shutting down and rebooting its self!
please give me some ideas of what might be wrong .My fan seems to be working if this helps to eliminate that problem.

My psc was in storage when I moved and was stored on its side(I did not know this). Since then, 9 mo. ago, it has started to leak. Is it a serious problem? Can it be fixed? What should I do, fix or buy a new one? Money is very tight right now. Any help is appreciated.
